Here's how it works:

  1. You have signed up for the 'Test Drive' by clicking the button below and following through the registration prompts,
  2. Now you are an eFMLA member,
  3. You have received your Introductory information and access credentials, and
  4. You have already logged in to your account and setup your company information.

Example #1: An employee, Jim Smith, requests FMLA leave to care for an ailing parent but on checking, he does not qualify for FMLA leave because he has not been with the company long enough.

  1. You log in to your eFMLA account
  2. Create an Employee Profile, send the employee an FMLA Request or receive an employee FMLA Request.
  3. Create a Eligibility Notice
  4. Email it to the Employee

Example #2: An employee, Jane Jones, requests FMLA leave to care for a sick child.

  1. You log in to your eFMLA account
  2. Create an Employee Profile, send the employee an FMLA Request or receive an employee FMLA Request.
  3. Create an Eligibility Notice
  4. Create a Designation Notice
  5. Complete all FMLA forms, as appropriate.
  6. Email all Forms to the Employee
  7. Track Jane's leave.
  8. Jane ends up taking two (2) weeks of FMLA leave.

Example #3: Later in the year, the same employee, Jane Jones, requests FMLA leave to for the birth of her 2nd child.

  1. You log in to your eFMLA account
  2. Access Jane's Employee Profile
  3. Create another instance, send the employee an FMLA Request or receive an FMLA Request from the employee
  4. Continue and Follow-up with all the other FMLA forms, as appropriate.
  5. Track Jane's leave.
